Monica La

Monica La is an associate attorney at Altair Law ®. Her practice focuses on severe personal injury and wrongful death litigation.

She represents diverse clients injured in vehicle, pedestrian, and bicycle accidents, mass shootings, wrongful death suits, premises liability accidents, and rideshare litigation in state and federal courts throughout California.

Monica joined Altair Law in 2018 as a litigation paralegal while pursuing her law degree. As a first-generation Chinese American attorney, she is passionate about her community and helping others, especially the marginalized and overlooked members of our society. Monica believes that representing clients is a privilege and is proud to utilize her fluency in Cantonese and legal knowledge to advocate for victims throughout the Bay Area.

As the fourth and youngest child in her family, she was always encouraged to pursue medicine or law. She took a detour and followed her passion for ballet dancing professionally until age 18 when she hung up her pointe shoes. Monica credits ballet for teaching her discipline, persistence, and creativity, all qualities she draws from daily in her legal practice.

Monica grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and is a performing arts enthusiast and enjoys attending ballets and symphonies, traveling to different parts of the world, frequenting hidden gem restaurants, reading, and doing Pilates.
